Intense Opposition is Giving Way to Openness and Curiosity

The intense opposition to the Gospel on the streets of Israel is giving way to openness and even curiosity. For example, Maya, who initially rejected the Gospel and walked away, suddenly turned around and turned to God.

Day 10: Gospel Spreading on the Streets of Israel

Prayer Points

Key Scriptures

Get yourself up on a high mountain, you who bring good news to Zion! Lift up your voice with strength, you who bring good news to Jerusalem! Lift it up! Do not fear! Say to the cities of Judah: “Behold your God!”

Isaiah 40:9

For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes – to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.

Romans 1:16

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.

Acts 4:13

“In the Lord all the descendants of Israel shall be justified, and shall glory.”

Isaiah 45:25

“Go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”

Exodus 4:12b

Luke 10:1-2  After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of the knowledge of Him in every place.

2 Corinthians 2:14

“Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.”

Acts 5:20

Therefore he reasoned [concerning the Gospel] in the synagogue with the Jews and with the Gentile worshipers, and in the marketplace daily with those who happened to be there.

Acts 17:17

Sing to the Lord, bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.

Psalm 96:2

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison – that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.

Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

Colossians 4:2-6

Shepherd Your people with Your staff, the flock of Your heritage, who dwell alone in a woodland, in the midst of Carmel; let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in days of old.

“As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt, I will show them wonders.”

Micah 7:14-15

Mark 16:20  And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.
